How is NRC Different from a Roofing Company?
We are more than a Roofing company and more than a Consulting company. We take services from both business models and combine them together, best of both worlds and charge the same as a Roofing company. As a Consulting company we provide a new platform to achieve to same goal of replacing your roof. When you go to a Ford dealership the salesmen will typically not promote or sell you on GMC, Dodge or other competitors. That makes sense as they sell Ford Products. A Roofing company likewise will likely only sell themselves, will not promote or recommend other competitors EVEN if its in your best interest. NRC allows you to chose the best Roofing Companies, we are not bias, we are not "Ford" salesmen. We are YOUR Consultant, we advise the best products, best companies to work for you, enforce a higher standard and like a Roofing company we manage the entire roofing process on your behalf. We are more like the car show, a platform for you to chose the best and pay for everything in one convenient location.
Does NRC offer their own Roofing crew as an option?
Yes we do! We have a crew through NRC that is ready to help and assist. With 15+ years experience, full WCB coverage, and many happy customers, we know how to fix your roof correctly. Many people take this route and it is a great option!
What is the Cost to Replace My Roof with NRC?
Obviously every roof is unique and requires different attention. Anyone assessing your roof will say the same. That being said our cost is competitive. When compared to reputable Roofing company our costs are similar. Biggest difference being we offer additional services such as third party inspections, consults and photo documentation. On paper we actually cost less. We provide a higher quality shingle that cost 40% more than what a reputable Roofing Company supplies. While hiring both will cost the same, we give you a better Product.
Is Your Service Really Free? How does NRC Generate Income?
Rather than claiming we offer our services for free, we offer them at no additional cost. Is that not the same? Yes and no. When you hire a Roofing company, they provide an "X" amount of services. We offer all those same services for the same cost. Where we are "FREE" is we also include services such as being Your Consultant, do the work of sourcing qualified contractors, enforcing proper installation and doing written third party inspections of work for your personal documentation. This is at no additional cost. How does NRC generate Income? A small percentage of the labour cost by the contractor is paid to us. Almost like a food court, the restaurants pay the food court to be there, we are a platform for qualified contractors to work from.
When and Who do I Pay? NRC? The Contractor? or Both?
You pay NRC. We know you're in control of choosing your contractor. You deal with us, payment goes to us and we handle paying materials and contractor. Ultimately, this is to make the process as simple as possible for you. Full payment is required only once the project is finished, cleaned, inspected and documentation has been provided for record keeping.
Do You Offer Free Estimates?
Yes, but only for our booked clients. We are currently not doing free estimates for those simply curious of the cost. We are more than happy to assist people if they are curious to know a ball park idea of the cost. We provide a free non-contract binding verbal ball park cost (fairly close). The work involved for us to formulate a quote is much more than your standard Roofing company. We inspect and measure the roof, consult with you than mediate with all our contractors. Than provide you your quotes. We charge $250+ gst for this service. But is FULLY credited towards your quote when booked with us.
How Long Does the Process Take?
We can usually complete the project within a couple weeks of initial contact, mostly depends on your time table and the severity of the roof. Working with a larger number of contractors than the majority of Roofing companies allows us to assist you faster!
What is the Warranty?
You receive 2 different warranties: Workmanship warranty, we hold our contractors liable to honor a 5 year warranty on installation. Product warranty, materials used on the roof have a Limited Lifetime Warranty. Meaning as long as you own your home, the manufacturer will honor their warranty if defects are found. This warranty is transferable once to a new owner within 12 years. After 12 years a new owner will have a limited warranty, not for life.
